Words from the artist, Cathy Hansby... Fantails are small, chatty birds, endemic to New Zealand. They're busy, friendly and inquisitive birds with distinctive fan-like tail feathers. Fantails are commonly seen darting around parks and native bush. Featured here amongst the leaves of a Pohutukawa tree, in dusky blue with dove grey and cocoa tones.
