Words from the artist, Cathy Hansby... Tui's are endemic songbirds of the New Zealand bush, easily identified by the white tuft under their chin (the poi). They feed on the nectar of native flowers like harakeke, pōhutukawa and kōwhai. Featured here in teal blue, contrasting black and white, with golden highlights.
